SNAQ Launches the First AI Nutritionist for CGM Users Managing Diabetes

SNAQ has announced the release of its AI Nutritionist, a first-of-its-kind digital companion designed to help people with diabetes.

SNAQ has launched its AI Nutritionist, a digital companion designed to support people with diabetes through personalized, real-time nutrition guidance. By integrating meal analysis, glucose data, insulin, and activity tracking, the tool delivers tailored recommendations and always-on coaching to help users improve blood sugar control and build sustainable habits.

Built on SNAQ’s clinically validated meal recognition technology, already used by over 250,000 people, the platform is supported by randomized-controlled evidence showing improved glycemic outcomes. CEO Aurelian Briner highlighted its potential to expand access to affordable, high-quality nutrition care globally. The AI Nutritionist is now available in the U.S., with international rollout planned throughout 2026.

With loop&life, the Diabetes Center Berne (DCB) introduces a podcast exploring current developments, innovations and perspectives in diabetes technology.

In each episode, we take a closer look at emerging trends, discuss important topics and share open perspectives on challenges and opportunities in diabetes care. The conversations bring together insights from research, innovation and lived experience in the diabetes community.

The podcast is produced by the Diabetes Center Berne (DCB) — a Swiss nonprofit organization that identifies gaps in diabetes technology and turns bold ideas into practical solutions that improve the lives of people with diabetes worldwide.

First episode: Trusted Until It Fails

The first episode explores the often unseen reality behind diabetes technologies. In “Trusted Until It Fails,” Greta Ehlers and Derek Brandt share real-world stories of algorithms misbehaving, pumps quietly failing and digital pilot projects that never made it past the demo. Together, they discuss what these experiences mean for how we design, implement and use new technologies.

For five years, DCB’s Innovation Challenge brought the global diabetes innovation community together, engaging more than 350 startups. The resounding feedback: the Bootcamp delivered the highest impact. In 2026, we’re focusing entirely on that experience – intense, practical, and personal.

            The ATTD congress in Barcelona is just around the corner and different members of the DCB team will be on-site. Meet us there to discuss our services, potential collaborations or just chat over a coffee!

            DCB at ATTD 2026

            The ATTD (Advanced Technologies & Treatments in Diabetes) congress is the leading international meeting point for all those involved and interested in diabetes technology. DCB is thrilled to participate in this prestigious event in Barcelona fostering connections with like-minded enthusiasts dedicated to diabetes technology, innovation, and research.

            We will be present with different members of our team from different divisions. Additionally, members of our Lived Experience Panel will also be attending. We are looking forward to attending insightful sessions, exploring new innovative solutions and above all: networking with, you!

            Also, we are excited to participate in ATTD Ignite 2026 an exclusive platform designed to foster innovation and collaboration in diabetes technology. This event, taking place on Wednesday, 11 March, from 9:00 CET to 13:00 CET in Hall 212, provides a unique opportunity for startups and researchers to connect, share insights, and accelerate breakthroughs in diabetes technology and patient care. Greta Ehlers, Partnerships & Innovation Lead at DCB, will part of the fireside chat “From Personal Pain to Global Impact: The Journey of Patient-Led Innovation” from 09:05 to 09:35. Later, the DCB spin-off Beyond Diagnostics is pitching at the session “Innovators in Action: Diabetes Tech Tank”.
