Menschen mit Diabetes m\u00fcssen ihren Blutzuckerspiegel sorgf\u00e4ltig kontrollieren, um kurz- und langfristige gesundheitliche Komplikationen zu vermeiden. Dies kann mit Hilfe von Insulininjektionen geschehen, aber das erh\u00f6ht auch das Risiko einer Unterzuckerung, einer sogenannten Hypoglyk\u00e4mie. Eine Hypoglyk\u00e4mie tritt h\u00e4ufig nachts auf und kann zu ernsten Problemen wie St\u00fcrzen und Herzproblemen f\u00fchren. Sie kann auch die Lebensqualit\u00e4t einschr\u00e4nken und Symptome wie Zittern, abnorme Atmung und abnorme Bewegungen verursachen. Der Umgang mit Diabetes kann f\u00fcr \u00e4ltere Menschen in der Langzeitpflege aufgrund anderer Gesundheitszust\u00e4nde und wechselnder Pflegeanbieter besonders schwierig sein. Das Moonwalk-Projekt zielt darauf ab, den m\u00f6glichen Zusammenhang zwischen Glukosespiegeln und Bewegungsmustern w\u00e4hrend des Schlafs bei Menschen mit Diabetes zu untersuchen. Zu diesem Zweck wird ein QUMEA-Radarsensor an der Decke angebracht, um die Bewegungen w\u00e4hrend des Schlafs zu verfolgen, und am Handgelenk getragene Smartwatches werden verwendet, um Daten zu physiologischen Symptomen zu sammeln. Im Laufe von 10 Tagen werden die Daten von 40 Patienten gesammelt. Nach Abschluss der Studie werden Algorithmen entwickelt, um ein Warnsystem f\u00fcr n\u00e4chtliche Hypoglyk\u00e4mie aufzubauen. <\/span><\/p>\n
